Happy Anniversary Smiths!

After five years of blissful marriage, Kathy and Marc decided to have dinner and a movie on their anniversary. This meant that we would be able to hang out with Calvin for a few hours.











This also gave Molly and Calvin an opportunity to play for a while. Sometimes they fight over toys, sometimes they share. They have different personalities but it is obvious that they are going to be good buddies for a long time.

Happy Birthday Colleen

We helped celebrate Colleen's birthday by having a taco bar and tortilla soup at the Caird house. Molly is not a fan of hats, but if we keep her hands busy she will keep the hat on.





Even Calvin got into the spirit. Hands? Utensils? Who needs em!

Bracelets

Molly has these big rings that she likes to wear as bracelets.








It's really funny how she walks around the house with these things on.

Happy Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's day with Gigi as well as Grandma and Grandpa Remeika. Her shirt says, "Bundle of Love" and I think that's how they see her.

PaPa

I know I post a lot of videos about nothing. But if it makes me smile, It can't be that tiresome, can it?

Sledding

My parents took Molly sledding in their back yard yesterday.

Happy Birthday Kayli

We went to the birthday party of Karen and Randall's little one, Kayli. She was a little slow to dig into the cake but once she did, she loved it.





Molly was carrying around a few balloons in such a way that they were rubbing up against her head. She had static hair the whole time.

Head Bump

Molly bangs around into things as all babies do. This time she took a tumble right into a corner wall. It was enough to break the skin (no bleeding, though) and leave a nice bruise on her forehead.

I think Colleen wanted to cry harder than Molly was. It became my job to calm both of them down.

Molly is very resilient (you'd have to be considering how fearless she is) and got over it pretty quickly.

Barrette

Molly's hair is getting long. The back has some nice curls and the front goes over her eyes.

Colleen has been using clips to keep the hair back. Usually she pulls them out, but once in a while Molly leaves them alone.

Colleen thinks it's super cute!

Another Nap Video

Not a whole lot happening here. Mostly Colleen and Molly talking to each other. It does show that a good nap will put anyone in a good mood...

Done With My Nap

When Molly wakes up, she usually cries for attention. The other day she was shouting:

No More Bottle

Molly has been taking her milk from a sippie cup for over a week now. It took a few days for her to get the hang of it, but she got it without too much trouble.





At first she would only drink a little at a time. To make sure she was getting enough, we gave her a "bedtime bottle".

We have since packed her bottles away. I'll have to put this in the "growing up way too fast" file.

On The Bed

Molly loves our bed. She likes to jump, roll around, and crawl around on it.






She will take our hand and lead us into the bedroom to indicate that she wants to play on it. As long as we make sure she doesn't get too close to the edge, we have a great time.

Just Being Cute

Molly was in a good mood right before bed time...












She even did her crinkle-nose smile.

Play Place

Molly and Colleen went to the Ferndale Community Center to check out the drop-in play center they have there.






There was a nice variety of toys and books. Molly had a great time. Maybe it was a strange time of day to go, but there were no other kids there for her to play with. Maybe next time.

Snow Suit

We dressed Molly up in her snow suit and took her for a walk in my parents' back yard. The snow was rather crunchy so she needed a little help.











She was moving around pretty well considering the bulkiness of the suit...

Stair Slide

We've seen how Molly can climb stairs. She's also pretty good at going down them.

Couch Climb

Molly can now climb up onto the couch. Apparently she has been able to do this for a few days, but this is the first time I saw it.

Remeika Christmas

My parents were out of town Christmas day so we got together the day after. We didn't want to deprive them of how good she looked in her pretty dress, but she picked up another accessory.

Merry Christmas!

We got Molly into her Christmas dress and went over to her grandparents' to celebrate.












Tim and Nancy got her a personalized chair that she loves to sit in.







We had a great time and a wonderful Christmas. Molly continues to love her grandparents, great grandmother, aunts, uncles, and especially her cousin.

Christmas Morning

We didn't want to risk a full sized tree since Molly would probably just push it over, but she seemed to like the mini tree we had.












She especially liked Alison's Ornament.








But she especially liked opening presents.

Christmas Eve

Molly had a fun Christmas Eve. Aunt Karen and Uncle Ken will be out of town on Christmas day so we hung out with them along with Nancy and Tim. As is often the case, she was having fun with the box that her gift came in.









After her gift was assembled, she had a blast moving around on her new scooter.

Fork

We let Molly try to eat with a fork. She got the stabbing action down pretty quick. She still needs to work on how to manipulate the fork so that she can get to the food.

The ease of eating with her hands still wins.

Guitar Hero

I was playing Guitar Hero the other day and Molly gave me props at the end...

Teeth

Molly is getting all kinds of teeth. She even has four big ones in the back of her mouth.

Ba Ba Ba

Colleen was singing and Molly tries to mimic her. Molly kind of likes this game...

Not Too Happy With Santa

We took Molly to the Southfield Library to see Santa. He did what he could, but she did not cooperate.

I think we made the mistake of letting her run around the room while we were waiting for our turn. Once she gets a taste of freedom, there's no way she'll let us pick her up again.

Cousins Playing

It's nice to see that Molly and Calvin are becoming good buddies. They really have a good time together.
