Zoo

Uncle Dave, Aunt Sally, Greg, Lisa, and Kean were in town and wanted to visit the Detroit Zoo so we bundled up and headed out.







Molly made sure she had her cool shades on.

It was a fun day at the Zoo!  It was chilly but not freezing cold, there was a good number of animals that were out and active and the kids had a great time.

Tricks

Balloons

Brushing Teeth

I'm not sure what song they were singing but I think that the original lyric is "Lather up" changed to "Brush-a-brush" and she is switching between the two.

Either way, cuteness ensues.

Megan and Barney

Megan likes to play with the dog.  She teases him by waving toys or her socks in his face.

Laughing Sisters

The sisters do love each other.  They like playing and laughing.

Big Sister

Molly is a great big sister.  When Megan is upset, she sings to her.  When Megan hurts herself, she says, "It's okay, Megan".

Here is a video of Molly making sure that Megan is comfortable.  Never mind that she almost dumps Megan out of the car seat at the end...

Bath Cutie

Megan loves her baths. She likes putting her hands in the running water and chasing the toys around the tub.

She was also all smiles for the camera.

Megan was an early crawler and it seems like it took a little while for her to start walking.  Here she is taking a few steps and being very proud of herself:

ABCs in Stereo

Ok, so I was going over some videos and this one of Molly singing the ABCs came on. Molly happened to notice this and started singing along with herself. Thankfully the video camera was nearby!

It was Colleen's birthday, hence the balloons and greeting card in the background. Happy birthday Colleen!

Teething Biscuits

Sara,

You gave these treats to Colleen saying that they were messy to eat.  You did not prepare us for the nightmare of gooey paste that would cover everything, including Megan.

Glad to take these off your hands, but why would anyone make such a product?

Gymnastics

Here's Molly in gymnastics class (yes, my little girl is in gymnastics class!).

There is 10 minutes of structured activity at the beginning that Molly isn't really interested in. The rest of the time is free play which she really takes advantage of:

Molly's Bed

Megan is standing and climbing like a pro. She will be walking in no time. She likes to climb up into Molly's bed and often they will play together there.

Potty

Molly made a pretty smooth transition to potty trained. There's still work to do, but "I have to go potty" is a familiar refrain around here.

Snow

Molly having fun in the snow. Mostly she wanted to taste it. The funny thing about this video is when she says, "I have to go potty" at the end. It took Colleen 20 minutes to dress her for the cold and five minutes for Molly to want to reverse the process.

Bounce U

We met with the Smiths at Bounce U. Molly and Calvin had a great time, including with Marc on the giant slide:

Snow

We got a bunch of snow and Colleen took the opportunity to have Molly play in it.







She really liked walking around in it.

Sisters

Our Tree

Once again we had a mini Christmas tree. Molly is a little taller now (comparison photos coming up).

She still has a winning smile!

Merry Christmas!

Molly and Megan got some good gifts from all the family we had in town. My sister and her husband from California, my Uncle from Arizona, and the cousins from New Jersey were here. It was great to have so much family together.

Christmas at the Smith's

We went to Kathy and Marc's house for some holiday cheer. There was good food and gifts. Calvin enjoyed the sleeping bag we got for him.

Kathy, Molly, and Calvin got comfortable watching holiday movies.

It was a great morning. Thanks Kathy and Marc for the good times!

Red Wings Outfits

My sister and her husband were in town for the holidays and we thought it would be fun to dress the babies up in Red Wings garb for a photo shoot.  Trying to get three babies to cooperate was challenging...

We got a good picture out of Megan.









This was the best with the three.  It's a pretty good picture, but getting them all to sit and smile was not possible...

Cooking Breakfast

I was making pancakes and turkey sausages for breakfast and Molly did not want to be left out of the action.













After stressing that hands and fingers stay away from the cooking surface (and nervously being ready in case she forgets), the cooking commenced.

She got the hang of rotating the links, pouring batter, and flipping pancakes pretty quickly.  It's amazing how fast and eager she is to learn and do things.
