Snake Sound

Here's a quick video of the cousins playing in Molly's new room.

I thought it was funny that Molly picks up a toy snake and knows what it sounds like. Calvin takes the snake but makes little boy growling sounds instead.

Baseball Season

The Tigers won their home opener and Molly is pretty excited!

Happy Easter

Molly's second Easter! It started about a week ago with a visit to the Easter bunny.












She took a liking to the bunny and started handing him a bunch of prop eggs they had laying around.







This morning she had an Easter basket with a few toys that she really liked.







She helped decorate eggs.









We then went to my parents' house for lunch and to try on her new dress (and sunglasses).


























We did a costume change for a walk around the block.












Then it was off to Colleen's parents' house where she didn't mind the bunny ears so much...







But Calvin was not too thrilled (we were trying to recreate this picture).

Holiday family fun. Molly really had a good day.

Big Shoes

For some reason, Molly likes to put on my shoes.













Walking with them on is difficult, but I think the fun is in the trying.

New Crib

Because the new baby will get the bedroom nearest ours, Molly is switching rooms. We got a new crib for that room and since she is always willing to be involved, Molly was there to help put it together.





We didn't have to ask her to pick up a screwdriver and get to work.







Molly took to her new room very well. We were worried that an adjustment period would be needed, but she proved us wrong.

Walking the Dog

Molly took Barney for a walk. Don't try to take the leash from her, that's her job now!

Happy Birthday to Me

Part of my birthday celebration happened at Marc and Kathy's house. It was a great time with the family and especially watching the kids play together.

Even Aunt Karen got in on the action. I'll let the video speak for itself...

Machinery

Molly is great at figuring things out. She is able to twist the dishwasher controls. She even knows how to lock and unlock the door. It took a while to solve the mystery of why the dishwasher would stop mid-cycle.

Molly & McKenna

Molly and I had another super fun visit with our friends Sara, and 6 month old McKenna. As always, it was a great afternoon. The two girls got along so well and really had fun playing. Molly especially enjoyed giving kisses and making McKenna crack up!

At home, Molly has a baby doll that she feeds with a bottle, so when she started "feeding" McKenna I could not help but find it hilarious. She was very serious about doing it right, what great practice for helping out with her new little sister!

They have the best play room. We will be back again very soon!

Happy Anniversary Smiths!

After five years of blissful marriage, Kathy and Marc decided to have dinner and a movie on their anniversary. This meant that we would be able to hang out with Calvin for a few hours.











This also gave Molly and Calvin an opportunity to play for a while. Sometimes they fight over toys, sometimes they share. They have different personalities but it is obvious that they are going to be good buddies for a long time.

Happy Birthday Colleen

We helped celebrate Colleen's birthday by having a taco bar and tortilla soup at the Caird house. Molly is not a fan of hats, but if we keep her hands busy she will keep the hat on.





Even Calvin got into the spirit. Hands? Utensils? Who needs em!

Bracelets

Molly has these big rings that she likes to wear as bracelets.








It's really funny how she walks around the house with these things on.

Happy Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's day with Gigi as well as Grandma and Grandpa Remeika. Her shirt says, "Bundle of Love" and I think that's how they see her.

PaPa

I know I post a lot of videos about nothing. But if it makes me smile, It can't be that tiresome, can it?

Sledding

My parents took Molly sledding in their back yard yesterday.

Happy Birthday Kayli

We went to the birthday party of Karen and Randall's little one, Kayli. She was a little slow to dig into the cake but once she did, she loved it.





Molly was carrying around a few balloons in such a way that they were rubbing up against her head. She had static hair the whole time.

Head Bump

Molly bangs around into things as all babies do. This time she took a tumble right into a corner wall. It was enough to break the skin (no bleeding, though) and leave a nice bruise on her forehead.

I think Colleen wanted to cry harder than Molly was. It became my job to calm both of them down.

Molly is very resilient (you'd have to be considering how fearless she is) and got over it pretty quickly.

Barrette

Molly's hair is getting long. The back has some nice curls and the front goes over her eyes.

Colleen has been using clips to keep the hair back. Usually she pulls them out, but once in a while Molly leaves them alone.

Colleen thinks it's super cute!

Another Nap Video

Not a whole lot happening here. Mostly Colleen and Molly talking to each other. It does show that a good nap will put anyone in a good mood...

Done With My Nap

When Molly wakes up, she usually cries for attention. The other day she was shouting:

No More Bottle

Molly has been taking her milk from a sippie cup for over a week now. It took a few days for her to get the hang of it, but she got it without too much trouble.





At first she would only drink a little at a time. To make sure she was getting enough, we gave her a "bedtime bottle".

We have since packed her bottles away. I'll have to put this in the "growing up way too fast" file.

On The Bed

Molly loves our bed. She likes to jump, roll around, and crawl around on it.






She will take our hand and lead us into the bedroom to indicate that she wants to play on it. As long as we make sure she doesn't get too close to the edge, we have a great time.

Just Being Cute

Molly was in a good mood right before bed time...












She even did her crinkle-nose smile.

Play Place

Molly and Colleen went to the Ferndale Community Center to check out the drop-in play center they have there.






There was a nice variety of toys and books. Molly had a great time. Maybe it was a strange time of day to go, but there were no other kids there for her to play with. Maybe next time.

Snow Suit

We dressed Molly up in her snow suit and took her for a walk in my parents' back yard. The snow was rather crunchy so she needed a little help.











She was moving around pretty well considering the bulkiness of the suit...

Stair Slide

We've seen how Molly can climb stairs. She's also pretty good at going down them.

Couch Climb

Molly can now climb up onto the couch. Apparently she has been able to do this for a few days, but this is the first time I saw it.
